Need some additional (though circumstantial) proof that Apple will in fact announce a new 10.5″ iPad Pro on June 5 at its WorldWide Developer Conference? OK then, how about a big price cut for the device that is widely considered to be the predecessor of that tablet?
The iPad Pro 9.7 can now be had for only $474.99 with 32GB of storage, if you don’t mind shopping at Best Buy. That’s a whopping $125 off the usual price, and $25 less than the lowest price we’ve seen for this model yet. Surely it’s all just one big coincidence, and not a stock clearing sale, right?
Well, you’ll be the judge of that. The 10.5-inch iPad Pro is said to be the successor to this 9.7″ model, coming with an almost identical overall footprint but a bigger screen thanks to smaller bezels. If you don’t care about that, however (and the performance bump that will inevitably come too), then buying the iPad Pro 9.7 at $474.99 is quite a steal.
